Lady Lucy and Lady Ariel have fallen on hard times, but they have had an idea for the preservation of their dignity. They can be Lady Gardeners! Unfortunately they have less than no idea how gardening happens. They flail around ineffectually with sticks attempting to trim the grass, until Baroness Zoe arrives. It is, of course, her garden. She is incensed that there is too much chatting going on - her grass is not cut, the bushes are not trimmed, and the mud is dirty!

Baroness Zoe takes a riding crop to the new gardeners, but the ladies are too hopeless to take the hint. Nothing for it but the tools of discipline! Baroness Zoe has the two girls tied up in strict rope hogties, barefoot and still wearing their elegant satin clothes. She must teach them a lesson! She's going to lay down the law and instruct the rubbish gardeners in exactly how she requires her gardens to be kept - and keep them hogtied the whole time! And the girls are STILL talking! Nothing for it but the stuff a filthy rag into each girl's mouth to keep their chattering from echoing all over the courtyard!
