Shauna is just returning from a ride at the stables when a man jumps out of the verge and grabs her, immediately locking her wrists in handcuffs. He gags her when she protests; she doesn't seem to know who he is, but he certainly seems to know her. He ties a rope around her neck and leads her like a horse towards the woods. When he finds a suitable tree, he throws the free end of the rope over a branch and ties it off to another tree, forcing Shauna to stand. To add to Shauna's discomfort, zip ties are attached around her booted ankles and just below her knees. The man tells her she was very rude to him at the stable and this is his payback. He departs, promising to return for her later. In the meantime, Shauna is left standing, unable to reach the rope around her neck, unable to sit down, and desperate not to lose her balance.
