A bag is thrown at me, confused, I pull out some bunches of rope. What is this for?

I’m next shown tied up with said rope on the pouffe. I’m told that I will be let go if I can unwrap my present. I’m unhappy about it but I accept. But there is one more thing. My partner shows me a roll of tape, I must also be gagged for this challenge.
