However, Mrs. Gibbons patiently explained to Sylvia that there was another way. There would have to be consequences for the recent misdeeds, of course, but if Sylvia were to take on the discipline herself then perhaps special arrangements could be made to spare her sister.The only thing was that Sylvia had no idea that once she meekly nodded her head that she'd be bound and gagged for the rest of the weekend, cursing her sibling but also knowing that it always worked out this way, almost as though it were her lot in life to be the one who had to endure the punishment, while her beloved sister got away with everything.
