Dressed in a green shirt and camouflage pants, Addyson James was walking cautiously through a wooded area when she was seized by the man who'd offered to guide this step-daughter of a five-star general into a demanding new career. After stuffing cloth in Addyson's mouth and sealing her lips with duct-tape, he also taped her wrists before seating her on the ground. Her torso and legs coiled with tape as well, the wide-eyed military novice struggled alone in the dirt until her mysterious mentor returned and removed the boots from her bare feet; feeling even more vulnerable, Addyson heartily resisted the bondage that proved impossible for her to disrupt.

After she was moved into a military jail, Addyson stood with her wrists cuffed above her head to the bars of its cell; still tape-gagged and barefoot, she tugged with frustrated futility against the metallic restraint.
