Dakkota and her husband are in the middle of a messy divorce, and as things stand she expects to get very little from the settlement because her husband has sequestered most of their assets in an off-shore account. Dakkota's only recourse is to get money from the gems that have been given to her over the years, without having to share the proceeds. She decides to hire a man to stage a burglary, arranging with him that he will receive fifty percent of the proceeds from the sale of the gems. She instructs him to tie her up and gag her, making the ropes tight so that there is no suspicion that she has orchestrated the robbery herself. The man obliges and firmly secures her with a lot of rope, then stuffs a cloth into her mouth before tying a gag around her head.
